We are delighted to welcome all the new families joining our school and to welcome back all the familiar faces.
To help us get the children into and out of school safely we ask that all children enter the school via the door closest to their classroom.

What time does school start/finish?
Arrival time is 8:50 - 9:10 for all classes.
Going home time is 1:30 for Junior, Senior Infants
2:30 for 1st - 6th Class
Sunflowers 1:30/2:30
Can I drive into the school grounds?
No. To facilitate the arrival and departure of children, no cars will be allowed into or out of the school gates between 8:45 and 3:00 pm.
What happens if it is raining?
Please make sure your daughter has a coat/umbrella. We cannot open the school doors before 8:50 am or allow parents in to the school to collect children early at going home time.
She forgot her schoolbag, etc. What do I do?
A Drop Off Box is located outside the front door of the school (outside Secretary's Office). Items should be labelled with your child's name and class and left here. We will check this box regularly and distribute to your child's class.
I need to collect my daughter early, what do I do?
Please notify the teacher/school in advance by email or phone. When you arrive at front door (at Secretary's Office) ring the bell to notify that you have arrived. Your child will be brought out to meet you.
My daughter is arriving late for school, what do I do?
Please walk her to the front door (at Secretary's Office) and ring bell. A member of staff will meet your daughter and bring her to her class.
How can I contact my daughter's teacher?
Teachers can be contacted through their @scoilmhuire.ie email address, by phone or through the Homework Journal. Teachers will then be able to phone you or arrange a meeting in the school.
My daughter is "a bit off" this morning, what should I do?
If your child is sick she should not attend school. Please email the teacher to say she is sick.
What happens if my child gets sick during the school day?
You will be phoned and asked to collect her as soon as possible.
What about the Morning/Afternoon Care?
Early Morning Drop Off (8:00 - 8:50am)
Afternoon Care for Junior and Senior Infants (1:30 - 2:30pm)
5 euro per session. Further information can be found here
Will lunch be provided for my daughter in school?
Yes, the Lunch Bag provide hot school lunches for all children in the school. You will be provided with further information and access to your account when your daughter joins our school.
